You choose an app name. We create the address under your account, for example billing.yourid.novamx.host. Another customer can use the same app name. You get storage, a database and FTP. Mail and a full public website stay on the packages above.

What this is not

Not a domain you register, and not mail. Use Mail Basic or a web package when you need mailboxes on your own domain.
Not a full company website. Choose Web Basic or higher for the site people should remember.
Not for video, large downloads or a public file dump. That belongs on CDN, which is billed on traffic.

How to create an app

Traffic

Origin traffic and CDN are not the same

Website traffic from the hosting server (origin) is not sold per gigabyte. It is meant for normal websites and small services on a shared EU host. CDN traffic is metered and shown on the CDN page. We do not advertise unlimited origin traffic, because that would hide how shared hosting actually works.

Normal site and API use is included in every hosting package, including App hosting. There is no origin GB add-on today.
Fair use applies: the service must not crowd out other customers. Video streaming, open file dumps, proxies and cryptomining are not normal website use. The Acceptable Use Policy already allows NovaMX to warn, rate-limit or suspend in those cases.
If a site outgrows origin hosting, add NovaMX CDN. Business, Multi Domain and Enterprise include a monthly CDN volume. Extra CDN traffic is billed per region.

Hosting questions

Is SSL included?

Yes. TLS certificates are issued and renewed automatically for sites on NovaMX hosting.

Can I deploy with Git?

All hosting packages include Git deploy (from 2 connections on Web Basic). Connect your repository from My NovaMX.

Is WordPress supported?

Yes. Open Website → WordPress in My NovaMX to install WordPress, open the dashboard, or remove an installation. The stack includes PHP, MariaDB and backups.

Are domain fees included?

No. Domains are billed per TLD at registration and renewal. Hosting packages cover website resources only.

Do I get mailboxes with hosting?

Web Basic, Business, Multi Domain and Enterprise include mailboxes. App hosting does not. Use Mail Basic when you want mail without a website.

What is App hosting for?

A small app or a database that needs HTTPS without using your own domain. You pick an app name. We create the address under your account. It is not a replacement for a public website on a domain you register.

Is website traffic unlimited?

Origin traffic from the hosting server is not billed per GB. It follows fair use for normal websites and small services. CDN traffic is separate and metered. See Traffic on this page and the CDN page.

Can I allow or block visitor IP addresses?

Yes. Every hosted website, hosted subdomain and App hosting address includes Visitor IP rules in My NovaMX. You can open the hostname to everyone, allow only listed addresses, or block listed addresses. You can also set a different rule for one path, for example a webhook. This is included, not a paid add-on. See Help, Visitor IP rules.

Can I password-protect a folder, set CORS, or browse SQL?

Yes, in My NovaMX after you sign in. Directory password, CORS, custom 404/403 pages and SQL are included with App hosting and with Web Basic and higher. A random preview URL lets you test a registered domain before DNS points here. Origin gzip/Brotli is on by default. See Help for the steps.
